The 2025 E.L.I.T.E. Preseason Scrimmage

The E.L.I.T.E. (Encouraging Learning in Technology and Engineering) Preseason Scrimmage is a new event hosted by members of Team 48 (Team E.L.I.T.E.), Ohio's oldest FIRST® Robotics Competition team.
The scrimmage is an unofficial tournament that provides participating teams with an opportunity to test and evaluate their robot's performance while competing with other robots under tournament-like conditions. Additionally, the scrimmage will give team members a chance to rehearse and refine the procedures and techniques that they will use throughout the competition season.
This year's scrimmage will feature 24 high school robotics teams from northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania, playing this season's game REEFSCAPE!

The following four (4) CMSD teams from the Great Lakes Science Center's Robotics Initiative will be among those competing at this single-day preseason scrimmage:

Team #8140 (The RoboManiacs from MC2 STEM High School)

Team #8145 (The Tech Warriors from East Technical High School)

Team #8222 (The Argonauts from Davis Aerospace and Maritime High School)

Team #9643 (Lady VOLTAGE, a community-based, all-girls team composed of students from several different CMSD high schools).
